My car which was signed up on August 13 is still sitting in "Dealer Spec",

If it makes you feel better, I also order on the 13th of August (perhaps I should have waited a day?) and my order as of Wednesday was also still in dealer spec. Having someone in the same boat gives me a bit of confidence that my order hasn't been forgotten

I totally resent that. Yet again everyone here likes to generalise and assume something about someone depending what car they drive. I am currently a Focus driver, and I dare say I have one of the best looking ones on the road. I have had my Focus for 8 years, and still the other month I saw someone taking a photo of it while I was up at the local shops. Why was that? Maybe the passion I put into it.

Ok to clarify, was just using focus as an example, corolla, mazda, hyundai, not saying anything is wrong with the nor people that drive them. i'm glad your passionate about your focus. ;p

Lol I just noticed this reply. I forgot about this thread, sorry mate lol. AS you can see by my sig its supposed to go into production tomorrow. Hooooray! Then I guess I will take delivery some time in January hopefully. Can't wait!!! Love hearing everyones reports and seeing pics so far.

Yeah that sucks mate, I guess I can count myself as very lucky. The only reason I think mine is ahead of you is because my dealer already had a slot assigned to a car that was going to be in the showroom and they changed the order to suit my specs. I saw a screendump of the NADCON details and the order was actually started in June. Hope you get word on a build date soon.

I am 25 and have busted guts through uni and finishing CA accounting qualification. I work 50 hours a week and run an after hours consultancy business as well. The golf R is a self reward and only buy new and lease because it's tax effective. I don't yet own house, but I am ready with deposit to pounce when I find what I am after. I also travel overseas every 2nd year. Like a diet, I believe budgeting should be balanced. I am single and gay. I am sorted and boyfriend ready lol. Takers?

Im 25 too, and I am finishing off my Bachelor of Construction Management Degree, and also Building (small boutique type contracts, renovations, domestic homes, refurbs etc). I plan to expand into the development area side of things, and with the CM degree under my belt and the building and carpentry knowledge I'm in pretty good stead. Maybe to some the Golf R isn't impressive. But to me it is, and I'm very happy with the fact it will be in my hands come next march
