Age of R Drivers

So it appears that as of now, 25% of R Drivers on this forum are old farts....including me. Just proves to me what I was thinking...that only a few of us seem to hold onto our youthful passions for high performance cars as we age. Personally I still see myself driving a performance car when I move to a retirement village.
To quote my daughters boy friend on a recent trip out in the Cobra........."I wish my dad drove like this"........My aim is for my future grandchildren to say the same thing...heheGolf R 5 Door DSG, Rising Blue, 19" Wheels (Silver), Leather, MDI, RVC, Bluetooth, RNS510, APR Stage 2, APR Divorced DP, APR HPFP, VW Racing CAI, S2T Paddle Shifters, Sprint Booster

I hate you. LOL!
Just turned 30. Thought I'd give myself a nice pressie and ordered an R.
Like a lot of the other guys, worked hard (still working hard), mortgage, don't take drugs, don't smoke, hardly don't drink, not many expensive hobbies.
Got my first job at 14 and been saving and investing at an early age.
Parent's both work in factories, so you can rule out the silver spoon.
Life would've been so much easier and simpler had I met a girl at 21 who would buy me a Golf R.

I am 25 and have busted guts through uni and finishing CA accounting qualification. I work 50 hours a week and run an after hours consultancy business as well. The golf R is a self reward and only buy new and lease because it's tax effective. I don't yet own house, but I am ready with deposit to pounce when I find what I am after. I also travel overseas every 2nd year. Like a diet, I believe budgeting should be balanced. I am single and gay. I am sorted and boyfriend ready lol. Takers?

Behind the scenes of this forum is another forum... The gay golf society... The golf r is hugely popular with gay guys... Think about it, compact, stylish, has sex appeal and breathes heavily when you put foot down... Perfect... Check out the guys jumping out of them at your local gym... Gay guys go for convertibles, coupes, compact SUVs or practical hatchbacks... Led lights and subtle beauty make the golf r a great city proposition...

Coming to this thread late as ive been away for a week.
Put another tick in the 40-49 range. Ive just turned 46 and am still using mid-life crisis as an excuse for my car choice.
First purchase was a V8 AWD commodore at 40 (lets see who can guess what that was?), I told my wife it was either a Mistress or a fast car. She said buy the car!
It was a relief cause a divorce is bloody expensive.
Next was my current 3MPS.
And I've been in love with Turbos ever since.
I love the look and ride of the R, nothing else came close for the same money.
Now every morning I go down to my garage and scream "I want it now!"
Guys we need more Photos.
So when your cars arrive, please post them so we can drool and make this insufferable wait more bearable.
Drive hard, or drive home.Golf R MY 11.5 United Gray, 3 door, DSG, ACC, Free MDI, Bluetooth
Mods - APR Downpipe, VW Racing AI, HPFP, APR Tune Stage 2+- lovin it!
Touareg V8 TDI R-Line, White .Arrived 11 July.
