Iim 29, and have always worked and saved for cars. Not malnutritioned. Just dont blow $200 a weekend on piss as I dont drink. Not a druggy. And have always worked since I was able to as a kid, 14/9 mths! Only last year I stopped full time work to go to university. I have saved enough for a $60K car thats for sure. And I dont work in the mines.

Maybe in 2-3 years when I move to buy a house with my GF, I'll have to cut back on the toys.. But I know people who are teachers, grew up in the western suburbs in some tougher parts of sydney.. and they have their own big ass house etc.. You can do it If you work hard!

The only people I know who are nearly 30 and dont have a descent car, or a house their paying off, or travel all the time.. or anything which is fun.. either dont work, work part time ina coffee shop, or havent held a job or they have terrible spending habbits (like cutting their hair at Tony and Guy for a $100.. when they are a man!! (or maybe my crack head friends)

I guess for me I can thank my parents for always saying to me put away my coin and not smash it on rubbish.. I still live but just have to be careful

Im 27 and waiting for my Golf R to arrive. I have always owned nice cars WRX, 200sx GTI Golf etc and this is the most expensive car I will have ever owned.

I have a mortgage and bought my first house when I was 21. I have bought 3 places since and have been lucky to cash in on the real estate booms in 2006 and 2007. I own my Mk5 GTI but will be leveraging against my house to chip in the $25K for my new R

The results to this poll will say more about the average age of people that are on this forum, rather than the average age of an R driver. I'd be very surprised if the average age of GTI owners was any different anyhow.

That is the case with all forums though. Many people forget the fact that the majority of owners don't know or care about forums!

Well, my wife is under 30 - I constantly put it back into D at the lights when she's not looking

                                Also, to quote Homer Simpson

Aw, people can come up with statistics to prove anything, Kent. Forfty percent of all people know that.
Also, who'd have thought Gen Y was so sensitive?
