What Accessories are you buying for your MK6 Golf?
I've just received mine today Bought the ultra clear ones. Yes they are ridiculously hard to fit it onto the screen! I ended up trimming some of the edges off while one side was already adhered to the screen.
Yes it does somehow increase the clarity of the screen! Very nice looking indeed!
Somehow, my RCD510 screen doesn't sense touches anymore. I am only able to touch some of the buttons....anyone else has this problem?
I'm sorta freaking out right now.....
Yep I received mine today aswell but i'll have to wait until Friday to fit mine as thats when I collect my R.
2010 MY11 Golf R - Rising Blue - 5DR - DSG - 19" Silver Talladega's - Leather - Sunroof - MDI - Custom Euro Plates.

Hey nat225. Welcome to the forums. Some pictures of some of these things installed on your car would be great! Many of those things are unique to your car (as far as these forums are concerned).
Sure Corey!
Here is the Gruppe M CAI:
Sun visor strip tint (Very useful to cut sun glare but have not seen any other Golf's with this strip installed but my old 118TSI):
Phillips XTreme Power H7 (big lighting improvement for small cost, AU$35 delivered from eBay UK, highly recommended for non bi-xenon fitted GTIs):
Lamin-X fog light tint:
PSS10 (not installed yet, have to get steel plated ramp or something to reduce the steep angle on my driveway, see photo above):
And this is how I apply the double sided tape to my OSIR foot rest (Corey's tip on his Golf R install was very handy!)
I've just tested my RCD510 again and it only seems to pickup touches after being switched on for a while. Seems like with the Clarivue on, the RCD510 needs to warm up before touches can be sensed. Am I alone with this issue?
Mine works fine if I push it firm enough. Of course if the software is busy loading for the first 10 seconds then sometimes it ignores me but that has nothing to do with the screen protector.
My new anti-glare protector arrived yesterday as well, so I'll probably switch them around tomorrow.
Not sure if its already been posted (or whether this is right area) but has it been spotted on ebay you can now buy OEM's of the new daytime running light/Xenon headlights that will be an option on the MY11.5?
The VW dealer fitted racks are a shocker, lucky they were a freebie! Big, bulky and the vibration is so annoying I cannot open my sunroof. Solution: Roof Carrier Systems suggestion of 'Pro-Rack' with WhisBar technology is simply brilliant and as the name says 'whisper quiet'. The slim line appearance looks great and works a treat, plus they traded my VW racks in as well!!!
In my garage: Golf R20 Rising Blue, 5dr, 6sp man, Leather, Sunroof, Sat Nav, Bluetooth, DynAudio, MDI & Roof Racks for my board!
I sent an email to Andy Wong @ sale@partsexporter.com as per my PM discussion with Fab_R. Purschased Monday evening, posted Tuesday, arrived today (Thursday).
Put the foot rest covers in Tuesday after ordering Sunday Night.
Real easy to install!
10 minutes all up..
Ordered mine on Tuesday after seeing Fab's and got them today! Just installed them too! Yes it's 1am now but I wanted to get them ready for my road trip tomorrow which takes place right after work.
Took me about 1.5 hours! Yeah I didn't have the right tools and T-15 screw head so i had to borrow from a mate. Unfortunately my right footrest didn't come with the adhesive tape...emailed the seller and they responded immediately! They will post them to me tomorrow.
Looks fantastic and really adds an x-factor to the footwell A must buy for Mk6 owner IMHO!
