Without wanting to appear picky but why go to all the trouble of getting the exhaust tips done to signal intent Yet remove the most significant indication of potential and differential to the garden variety golf.

Are u referring to the tips or the badge v removal?
For me. I changed tips as I can no longer tolerate catback systems. Most if not all are loud and droney. The oem tips r pea shooters
People remove badges cos they like a clean look I guess

Had some Magnaflow exhaust tips installed last week. Fills out the cut-out in the lower bumper much nicer than the standard tips.

Premier Exhausts in Newcastle did the job for me - fantastic service and perfect fitment.

Thanks also to Lucas for supplying the part # required for the tips in his build thread. Made it very easy. Cheers bud!

Badges, tips look fine, wouldn't be arsed to do it myself but I like GTI s to know a superior golf as the only badge they see is the rear one

Looking good. Just ordered my red coil packs from ECS Tuning today (along with a couple of other sets for forum members).

Couldn't justify the red harness given it's going to be covered up by a carbon engine cover....

The brand is Magnaflow, part # 35121. $180 for the tips plus $100 labour.

You can be picky if you want It would make for a very boring forum if everyone agreed with one another all the time.

Badges removed for a cleaner look. Don't feel the need to have a badge on my car to differentiate it from other models in the range. Those who know their cars recognise what the vehicle is anyway. If they don't, no badge keeps them guessing.

The Nurburgring sticker is a bit of subtle personalisation, and it makes for interesting conversation in the rare instance when someone recognises what it is.

The exhaust tips are purely for cosmetic reasons, not to try and fool someone into thinking I have a fully sik exhaust. The original tips are too small to my eyes and look out of proportion compared to the rear bumper cutout. I have no intention of installing a cat-back or turbo-back because I want the car to remain quiet, so replacing the tips was the solution for me.

Yes on the TSI engines you can't see anything under the cover, but on the TFSI engines you can so a bit of under bonnet bling was being called for.

Those tips looks sweet... i'm in the same boat, think the existing tips are too small (and I hate cleaning the chrome). Plus my wife drives the car 50% of the time and she thinks it's too loud already, so no catback etc..

Difference is, my car is a GTI! Will these fit on a GTI?
