Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before. We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

      • Or look at the owner manual
I've no idea what the answer is at this point because I'm not near my car, and I haven't gone pressing it when I haven't known what it's for

Yep... it's also a weakness of mine when I crack out in laughter over some of the questions that people ask on these forums which are covered in the manual. I could give examples, but I don't want to embarrass or belittle anyone here. But lets just say that things range from hiliarious little quips to the owner needing to take their cars to the repair shop for replacement parts and paintwork, all because they were too "strong" to read the manual.

I guess that walking to work cause you didn't read the owners manual just helps to make you "stronger" too

Hey i walk to work most days............but it's because im lucky enough to live within about 2km of my work - therefore its not worth taking the car.

And FYI - i read my owners manual the first night i got my car. Although i found the manual to be somewhat confusing and not clear in quite a few areas compared to manuals from previous Japanese cars i have owned.
