Hey SilvrFoxX, i think it may be that someone may have painted or, its possibly the way the photo has been taken.
As far as i know, they are all gloss black.
      Cheers.

I know I _should_ wait until about 1500km or something. But I also know that I have a 300kg lighter car right now, with only 28kW and 2Nm less in it... so the Stage 1 (and 2) will be coming sooner rather than later

        • If you have the monies than there is no need to wait before getting a tune.

I had the stage one tune done with less than 300km's on the odometer which has turned the car into a perpetual motion machine.

          • Milltek Exhaust

            Volkswagen Golf Mk6 R 2.0 TSI 270PS exhaust products

Those who are interested can look at getting some quotes from their local Milltek dealer.

            • So they're FINALLY available, and they haven't even bothered to put even a picture on the product page? That's pretty lame.
I'd be interested in receiving more information about this exhaust, although the "black ceramic" tips don't sound desireable to me.

This is this "related media file" (lol... a picture) which shows the development car with the exhaust installed:

The miltek site is really slow....

              • yeah i thought it a little strange they have no pics or even a rrp for the us market at least.

black tips would be a bit different, i would not mind that.

                • I'm not convinced.... they just look like steel tips that haven't been washed

Milltek never publish prices... not even suggested prices.

                  • On the front page it does say VW Golf R: In Testing

So perhaps that product page is there as a template ready for the official release.

From what I can see of the the other pages, they do not show a RRP, just a link for the nearist stockist.

Some nice pics like they have for the GTI would be great, which might just be around the corner.

                      Works fine for me.

As mentioned, they never do pricing, though I'd expect places like that to at least publish an RRP. Surprised at the lack of photos or videos, the RS5 is also still in testing but has both already up.

                      • Would it really be more than APR's $3,995? Must be similar pricing? I would be keen for chrome/stainless steel tips... Black cheapens it I think...

                        • With the diffuser, Black will only serve to make the pipes become invisible. If its any help, I had a full Milltek set up on my Clio Sport 182 thru a group buy on OzRenaultsport and that cost about $2500 with the discount landed here.

182 has the similar twin pipes in the middle set up as the R as well albeit underneath is quite different.

                          • Yeah, the MK6 GTI Milltek exhaust is several hundred more than that even when under a "group buy"/specials situation, and the R's exhaust is more complex than the GTI's, so it'd be lucky to be close to $3000, let alone less than $3000.

But Ian @ Rennenhaus is the local contact, so someone who's considering the Milltek should email him and request the pricing.

                            • Milltek out on the 22/11/10 with two systems, with and without resonator without 4 Db loader than stock.
Not compatable with APR downpipe. must use milltek sport downpipe etc.
                              price tba.

Also can you please clarify this:

                                Do you mean 4dB louder?

If so, which one is 4dB louder than stock? The one with the resonator or the one without the resonator?
