Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled
After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.
Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

But yeh, I'll stop past and try to chat with Dean. With a Mk5 & Mk6 Golf and the Polo to service, I'd like to build up a relationship with them as they're close to home and I pass them twice a day.

I didn't really have one but after a call to Volkspower, it seems a bit silly.
Stage 1 APR ECU Upgrade
$1495 &
~40mins (no labour)
FSI High Pressure Fuel Pump
$1,695 outright
$1,230 exchange
~1hr labour @ $100/hr
Downpipe & high flow Catalytic converter, including adapter to stock catback (inc update to Stage 2 tune)
$2495
~2hr's labour @ $100/hr
So that is $5985 with new pump or $5520 with exchange item and no movement on price at all (no haggle no fun!). The bloke I spoke to didn't seem all that interested in even talking to me on the phone (not to mention quoting $700 for a 55k service on a mk5 auto FSI!) so not sure if there is movement in prices and he just didn't want to be on the phone? Surely sales aren't the only time APR stuff isn't full RRP?
The only good part of the phone call was being told he could flash a stage 1 before the weekend...Black 3dr, DSG, ACC, 19" Black Talladega's, Heaps of Goodies - Double Tint - APR Stage 1 - Delivered and Lovin' my R

The Unibrace X brace requires two holes to be drilled into the chassis.
The Unibrace Underbody brace however uses existing holes underneath the car.
I installed the Underbody brace on my Pirelli and it did help to tighten up the chassis. It made a noticeable difference. So pleased was I with the UB, I didn't feel it necessary to purchase the XB. No more chassis flexing in the rear of the hatch.
