Ahh, yeah after reading your thread I thought your dealership "had" done this for you
and as they are approx 20 mins from where I live, just wanted to confirm with you.
At least they could do the sweeping needles then....

I have also been in contact with SMCC, +1 really helpful to me too
Worth being on this forum when you read/receive great help & feedback isnt it?
    Thanks for your reply

got my static cornering enabled.. but funny thing is, even with steering wheel straight, as soon as I put on indicator the fog lights turned on on the side of the indicator that's on, without even turning the steering wheel... is this a preferrable setup or not, or how does this compare with you lots whose got your static cornering enabled too??? I thought from the story I read the wheel must turn before it turns on...

Only work with Headlights On or in Auto. The static turning lights come on either after you indicate, or when you turn the steering wheel about 90 degrees, And only if you are driving forward. If you are driving with your fog lights on... which is a heavy fine in most states! the static turning lights will not work as you have the fog lights turned on!!
That said while you wait at an intersection waiting to turn at the lights, with one side indicator on, that means the static cornering fog lights will be on as well on one side...
will that expose to this fine for driving with fog lights on when it's not foggy?

Not sure if this was the main reason why it's disabled in Aust models?

See here. The option to disable the "Indicator variant" for the static cornering lights is under byte 17.

I think I saw that and wonder what it was... thank's... gotta go to the car again...

the thing that bugs me is once I've change the coding all the options are reset back to original (eg auto door lock off, leaving home lights 10sec, etc) so I have to readjust everything back to my preference

done, it only does it with steering wheel turn now... so on mine indicator light only won't turn it on...
That setting in Byte 17 is:
0 (unticked) = Adaptive Light - means only turns on when steering wheel is 90 degree turned
1 (ticked) = Cornering Light - means will turn on at the same side with indicator that's on, regardless of steering wheel position

I remembered when I was visiting Malaysia my in-laws have Tiguans and sitting on the passenger side when they're turning left I could notice that left side got brighter, I asked them why they had no idea LOL.

Byte 14 to enable/disable static cornering lights.
Byte 17 to enable/disable static cornering lights also engaged by indicator.

                      Hi guys

Was surfing the net looking for a Tiguan fog light kit so that i could have static cornering lights and came across this website which I understand is the equivalent to eBay in China. Not a bad deal at $130 delivered to Australia and they say they OEM parts
