Same as me, when did u order, what salesman told u? He told me it will take 6 mths time to delivery. but it seems it will take longer according your case.

I got it from Highway Autogroup at springwood back in march.

Hey All,

My first post on this here, but I have been visiting for the past few weeks. I signed a deal early last week for a GTI and was told to expect delivery Mid October. Looks like my car will be ready ahead of schedule, got confirmation earlier today it will be ready tomorrow. Can't complain

Looking forward getting acquainted with my new car and this forum.

unless anything has changed , 8-9 months is the wait

Get the dealers to find builds that meet your specs

You may need to be flexible but we got almost the exact specs we wanted and only waited 2 months

Others have waited a lot less

We had more than 5 that closely matched our specs

just went to test drive both the GTI and R and was surprised how much more i liked the latter. the dealer (chatswood classic) had almost the exact spec i wanted coming in (blue dsg 5dr w/ acc) so i signed a few papers and i'm looking to take delivery in 6 days!! quite a lot faster than i was expecting, even tho my R delivery shared google doc hasn't been updated in a while so i don't know what current wait times are like.

been lurking here quite a bit but very very happy to be joining the vw family!

i'm exercising restraint dammit!

i had a sprintbooster on my old car (bmw coupe) and it was great while i was the only person using it, however as soon as my wife started driving the car the throttle lost its edge. not sure if the R tries to learn the driver's style too?

Amen to that, brother. It's on the long stretch to Fremantle now. We'll have to organise a bit of a drive when our cars arrive.

I must have just got lucky with mine. I ordered mid June and will receive early November. That's with pretty much all the boxes ticked bar the motorsport seats and reverse camera (the latter of which I'm sort of regretting spending the extra on and the former I couldn't possible justify the 5k asking price)
