I see a 3 door carbon steel gti everyday, the one I bought 5 months ago...
Why i love the 3 doors
- It looks great.
- b pillar is futher back, so it feels less cramped, as mentioned in a previous post
Why I wish i had 5 doors
- people getting in the back - the seat release mechanism isn't always intuitive, and its a bit of a hassle sometimes.
- loading large objects - sometimes its useful to have open the back door to help lift something in.
Also - although i love the carbon steel, i reckon i would get the silver if i had my time again. CS gets dirty pretty quickly, and the car profiles view is better with the silver, due to the black strip under the doors. This kind of makes the lighter coloured cars look leaner...
