  • Oh man, sorry to hear

Good thing is you can easily replace it without repairs or paint needed. Trust me, avoid that pain !

I'm hoping its around $150-200 to fix? just bummed that it was a wheel as i looked after the bastards for 10 months before clipping one haha.
Hey Ryan, I recently had one of my wheels scuffed when a lady backed into me. My dad's a panelbeater so that part was easily sorted, but I wanted the wheel fixed too (for obvious reasons)

I ended up using these guys Alloy Wheel Repair, Mag Wheel Repair - Australia - The Wheel Man - We Come To You

Worked really well. PM me if you would like me to email you before/after photos. Perfect job, except a little bit of overspray on the tyre. They actually fill and airbrush them. Was pretty cool to watch. They come to you and take about an hour.

Only criticism is the dude looked like a graffiti artist, backwards hat and all (lol)...

Pity about the wheels, love the black talledegas!

Edit: Took about 2 hours, and cost $150. Completely worth it IMHO

I plan to have it repaired or replaced - got quoted 100 dollars to have it filled/painted... not sure if this is good? Been searching the web for the side mirror cover but can't find any... or one that is Tornado Red - if you have a suggestion would be greatly appreciated.

The little bastard rode off like nothing happened, if there was no traffic and I would have buried my car up his arse- F@$king couriers...

Glad to hear you're ok (you are ok, right?) and hope the car's all fixed soon without too much hassle.
Yes, thankfully I'm fine and completely unharmed. Decided (very quickly) the best course of action was to stay straight and brake.

            • Hehe, there wouldn't be much need for an elk test if that's all you had to do each time

              • Well, I got my first dent / scratch tonight, just below the drivers side door handle - I openened the door into a exhaust pipe (off all things). A retard tray back land cruiser driver parked way to close to me and i didn't see the pipe protruding (it was quite dark). The first one is always the hardest to digest on brand new car.

Sounds like a job for paintless dent removal? Fingers crossed it's a cheap and easy fix.

                  • The car is in for repair as of today. I have to suffer through a borrowed BMW 335i in the meantime...

                    • Almost made it to 3 years, until a P-plater decided that a green light meant he could take off without waiting for the cars in front of him to move ! now to go through all the hassles of hoping the repairer can do a decent job......

I have to admit, I forgot to ask (I was a little upset at the time), but seeing it was a 2012 Honda Jazz - I assume so.

                          • Whilst washing my GTi over the weekend, noticed my first damage - gutter rash on one of my 18" alloys. Turns out my fiance had brushed against the gutter whilst going through the Target carpark at the Canberra Centre - OUCH!

This is after I have spent the last 12 months selecting my parking spot at all the local shopping centres etc. Ever notice that it doesn't matter where you choose to park your car (and how many empty spaces you leave between your car and the next), upon returning you will find some old beaten up car parked right up against yours? With lots of empty spaces still around.....

I do the same and it's usually a 4wd as well....

                              • You could always let my wife park your car. She'll drive past the single parking spot with a pillar on each side to park in the middle of a three spot jobby. The 4wds are usually on both sides when we get back.
