If I was going a CW R, I'd option the black rims for sure - then there's no mistaking it, and it looks properly tough! But DBP is the signature R colour (and is a fantastic colour at that), and I doubt I could go past it.2008 MkV Volkswagen Golf R32 DSG

I haven't seen rising blue in the flesh bit think I like DBP much more.. Looks amazing in the sun after a detail, and ha more sparkle and not as flat.
It's all personal preference and opinions anyway and shouldn't be stated as fact which is better.

The R didn't feel "tough riding" to me when I tested it and this was with 4 other people in it. If anything, it felt less jarring than my Pirelli in Sport mode. In Comfort mode, the ride was like my GT - quite plush.Originally posted by WhiteJames View PostThe KW Street Comfort Coilover is now available for the Mark 6 Golf range. KW coilovers are great and offer superb NVH levels and ride - no issues with tug'n'release or spring bind on the KW coilovers.
Something for propospective Golf R owners that have to settle for 19" wheels with no Dynamic Chassis Control (DCC). The Golf R being too tough riding was a concern for me, esp with 20% stiffer springs than the MK6 GTI.

I love colour "discussions"
LOL you're a stirrer!Originally posted by G-rig View PostAre you getting CW Dave? That's so hot right now

And another one hehe! I was expecting this stuff, but IMO the blue on the MK6 doesn't look right even though its the signature colour. On an R32 it looks amazing. Every time I see one, I still double take. But other than the original Frankfurt press shots of the blue 3dr, I don't think any R in blue has "captured" my attention.Originally posted by coreying View PostMeh... from a distance, CW could be a 77TDI...
... Blue is always an R
And I did. Before the R, I was sold on a CW GTI but an R with all the black highlights just has that bit extra. If I can think of something not wank, I'll get the black euro plates to match.Originally posted by AdamD View PostIf I was going a CW R, I'd option the black rims for sure - then there's no mistaking it, and it looks properly tough!
I'm the same, I've had 3 cars all around the same blue and I love it so it was a very hard choice to go against it.Originally posted by coreying View PostMy favourite colour is blue.

Surely VWA must be going to release some details with regards to price and confirmation of release date on the R soon. If it is going to be the 12th June as everyone suggests that's not far away.
I signed up on the VW webiste (when you click the Golf R link) ages ago to receive information but have heard nothing...MY11 Golf R - Rising Blue - 5DR - DSG - 19" Black OZ Ultralegerra - Leather - Sunroof - MDI - Euro Plates - Milltek Exhaust - Bluefin - SOLD

This is nothing new and was always expected. VW might release prices this week, but it wouldn't surprise me at all if they don't announce prices officially until next week.Originally posted by Prodigy View PostSurely VWA must be going to release some details with regards to price and confirmation of release date on the R soon.
