Welcome to the new look VWWatercooled

After much work and little sleep there is a new version of the forums running on more powerful and recent hardware as well as an upgraded software platform.

Things are mostly the same, but some things are a little different. We will be learning together, so please post questions (and answers if you've worked things out) in the help thread.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.     Rob did my car a few months back..
    We had to take the car to him in North Ryde during a weekday so he could fit us in sooner.. Personally it didn’t bother me driving out there.. Bloke knows his tints and is very precise with his workmanship.

    Worth every penny.

      anyone out West Sydney should try giving Martin from Ground Zero Window Tinting a call (0424 725 250). $150 for 35% tint all around. Good to deal with and can do what ever tint % you need. He done 15% on my previous ride.

            Silver rims suit the car, even moreso with the new tint on.

                Just hope that it doesn't appear too dark at night.

                  It will look fairly dark from the outside looking in but should be all good for seeing out though. That's assuming you stayed legal. Sometimes when it's raining at night I find it a little difficult to see as headlights appears to reflect off the water droplets on the window and I find I have to lower the window to get a better look.

                        I assume recommended is legal. If it wasn't the installer should be telling you because you the owner is liable for what is fitted to your car.

                                That is how ludicrous the 35% LT law is. No basis on any sensible or credible research.
