Hahaha is that the one parked on south rd near Brighton beach by any chance?

[QUOTE=G-rig;453213]You should be able to code in Vagcom so that the remote opens the sunroof too [QUOTE]

dont need to change anything... its already a feature of the remote. just need to keep holding the button down for the sunroof to open after the windows and same with closing.

Ah ok, pretty good stock feature..

We coded mine so when closing you don't need to hold the button down the entire time, just a second or two which may be worth doing.

Definitely worth activating Rain sensing closing if you got a sunroof.

Just off topic a little. With th coding you mention above, can you program for things such as your power windows to automatically go up when you lock th car doors via th remote?

You have to hold down the keyfob to do it, or as I was saying it can be reprogrammed to only hold it down for one or two seconds.

I used to have an Alfa 147 (yes I know.. but it was a great car!). Anyway, it was a standard feature that when you locked the car, if you held the locking button, the sunroof AND windows would close (but you had to hold it till closed). I thought it was a great standard feature and wish it were on all cars. So simple and effective I think.

@ elisiX - that's the standard configuration for the VW's as well. It's great.

Well said! In the end people buy their cars for themselves. I have no idea why so many people on this place are interested in what other people think of their car configs etc, or the colours they pick - it's YOUR CAR, what do YOU THINK?

The GTI does the same thing. Windows and sunroof close when you hold down the lock button. The sunroof just doesn't open by default when you hold the unlocked button - only the windows do.

To me, the money is better of spent on something more useful such as the RNS510 or auto-parking.
I will never own a car with a sunroof for a number of reasons:

Firstly, the structural compromise you have to make in order to have a vision area in your roof.

Secondly, the cost you have to bare in order to achieve said vision hole which will be of almost no use to you as the driver.

Thirdly, the cost vs benefit will almost always show that it isn't worth the extra money.

Fourthly, you have an extra item that you have to fork out quite an amount of money to fix when (not if) it breaks.

Great. Thanks for the replies! This is a great feature and good to see that it does come standard!

But you were willing to compromise your masculinity when you bought a Tiguan?

200+kw AWD, yeah that is very efeminate......

Then take into consideration that the tiguan is a "golf on stilts" and your argument backfires on yourself.

                              Yeah, especially through the corners.

Nothing a set of springs / coilovers can't fix.
Oh and most golf owners do that to their car anyway to increase it's handling potential.

P.S. Nice change of argument point
