Just an update on the coding. We fitted my LED Tails yesterday (many thanks to Ozram for his expert help and advice!) and for my car (MY11.5 with 0615, Xenon's with DRL) the only code that worked was HEX "04" at Byte 18.

it actually did not work fir me. I have the same revision as yours, although your error is cleared you will find that your DRL (halogen) does not turn off/on correctly when your headlamps are on. Hex 15 did the trick for me.

Yep... different coding for Xenon Cars it seems. Funnily enough... apparently "04" also works for some older Halogen cars! Just keep trying until something works!

While you are in the VDCS... add some other cool stuff! It becomes quite addictive!

Ain't it cool to have a few parts of your car arrive early to keep you occupied (and sane) whilst waiting for the rest of the car to arrive?!

I did that whilst waiting for mine. Had at least 1 item arrive every two weeks for the last few months

I did that whilst waiting for mine. Had at least 1 item arrive every two weeks for the last few months

cant tell you how good the feeling was having them come in today, just made me realise that the GTI is actually real and not a figment of my imagination now considering buying the APR air intake, but might hold off for a while, still got a bit of money to spend on custom rego and insurance.

I had mine 2.5 weeks before my car arrived... then they sat in the boot and travelled 1,000kms before fitting! It was a long week of waiting to finish the look of the car... definitely worth it and I'm glad they arrived before the car!

I plan to change mine over during pick-up and having the dealer code it there and then. I'll call my rep in the next week or so and see if I can get him to do it for no charge.. I mean they are already saving on me getting my own plates.
