Hey Bandicoot,
Mine just went in one for one for the old bulb ones. The techos then did the recoding and all good. The adapters came with the lights and they just plugged straight in the existing leads and new lights. I don't know what the central elect control is but the techos didn't mention anything except recoding. Took them an hour all up. And, yep, I own a GTD.MkVI GTD fitted with Bluetooth & MDI, CSG, DSG, Xenons, RNS510 with Dynaudio, ACC, Weathershields, Mudflaps, Sunroof, LED Tails, LED Indicators, LED Foglights, Interior LEDs, Tinted, RVC and Towbar - Gosford.Comment

that's what I thought until the place where I'm scheduled to get it done - says that the R tails are not compatible, unless the unit is changed. Get it done somewhere else. They are having a lend of you. I've had roughly 90 people get these for everything from 90TSI's through to GTI's through my German contact. Nobody to my knowledge also needed to buy a controller.Originally posted by bandicoot View Post

Absolutely Ozram- my OEM R tails as ordered from your German contact were installed by my dealer with a simple 5 min recode (job under an hour all up). Bandicoot looks like you might need to go elsewhere.Comment

hey all, is it best i goto my local VW dealership to get the lights installed (will they charge me an arm and a leg??) or is there a place or someone in Sydney that can do this at an affordable price?
