No. You'll need to remove the grill first. Then you need to unscrew the top and inside front guard but keep the bottom screwed in. This will loosen it enought to move the bumper away from the lights.

standard reflectors are crap lights IMO

didnt have to code it worked straight up. i did borrow vcds cable
just in case

Ok my lights arrived yesterday and I installed them only to find that I couldn't get the DRLs to work. Then I noticed that my parkers won't on either. So I have removed the HIH upgrade and taken off the "H15 BULB SUPER WHITE UPGRADE KIT" from the standard lights. My parkers work, but still no DRLs even on the halogens.

So the car is booked in as VW think it might have an electrical fault.


However it looks as though I am going to need some coding done. So if anyone can help in the Brisbane area I would be really thankful

i too have a similar issue.

with oem gti halogen lights
drls do not work at all. (set to 'on' in mfd, multiple settings on vagcom) there are no error lights or codes either
parkers/h15's work in manual parker mode, but parkers are very dim in comparison to other golf vehicles.

with the led drl from dnauto
the led drls do not work as either drls or manual park light mode (both sides)

i think it may have to do with some of the settings for my led tail lights. but ive been too busy to do any more testing

will post results when i get more time to work on it.

my leds work as parkers not 'proper' drls way they are designed i think
