How much discount should i be asking when i walk into the dealers.
the spreadsheet didn't help much as most of it was 118TSi...
im buying the GTI with options....this is in VIC btw.

$7000 as a minimum - ala 12-15%

Anywhere between 10% and 12% IMO.

If your comfortable with yelling, banking your fists on desks while the salesman eats his 'noodle', you might get 14%.

I have been given a quote from a dealer I wont name in Victoria, and currently I have around $5500 off RRP, with a bit more to come... $7k is possible, but it depends on the options u choose as certain options have less/more margins to play with etc

It's basically the same as mine but you have the Dynaudio in place of my Park Assist.

Yup.. 6 years total. They told me that I must service my car with them which is not a concern as they are local to me.

I paid $57k which worked out to be an 11% discount or about $6200. Actually make that $6600 as I also have the one off fee for Euro plates included in the $57k.

Is it the VW Factory warranty extention? Or is it just from the dealer?

Dealer.

They said its something they offer to all corporate discount clients only, but because I pushed them (supposedly), I got it too.

I am not sure of the difference between the factory and dealer warranty, but I will be keeping the car for 3-4 years and am not too concerned.

It'll be the next persons problem if the dealer warranty doesn't stack up if something goes wrong.
