Does your wife have experience with sheepskin covers?

I had them in my last car — I quite liked them, but the ladies always complained about static generated by their stretchie slacks against the wool.

As with most extras, they added zip to the eventual resale of the car.

      Seat covers?

      Hey guys

I know there might be a thread about this already but I couldn't find it. Anyways, I'm looking for seat covers for my gti. I've tried supercheap auto and the ones that have a slot for seat air bags looks dud. Anywhere else I can try?

        I wouldn't bother.
The seats are fairly high quality and should last.
You can always get a can of 3m scotchguard form bunnings and give them a going over.

To get quality seat covers with airbag flaps built in is going to cost you between $500-$1500

There is also some queries about liability if there is an accident as VW apparently do not allow seat covers.

          Exactly

How ever I started getting sweat stains on my GT sport seats after about 2 years even though they are scotch gaurded, I've now resorted to just putting a towel down on long trips.....

            Crank the aircon up
You can always get the interior detailed for a small sum which would be cheaper and cause less problems than fitting seat covers which may void insurance etc.

                      Recommendations For Front Seat Covers

                      Hi All,

Was just wondering what your recommendations are for front seat covers for my GTI.
And where to buy them from in Perth.
It makes it hard when the front seats have airbags in them...
Would appreciate any help you can offer...

for our hilux, we fitted oem toyota neoprene seat covers that have the sides cutout. its pretty nice actually. and goes a long way to protecting the seats.
im not going to bother with the gti seats. i get the car washed and cleaned regularly, and if it gets stained, then a steam clean will bring it up.
if it gets worn out, then time to get alcantara/cloth reupholstered

I have leather seats in my R, so I use a leather cleaner and conditioner once every 3 months or whatever...
If I had cloth seats, I'd get some G|Techniq I1 or Nanolex Fabric Sealant and use that on the seats and carpet.

I personally dislike car seat covers for multiple reasons, so I'd avoid them at all cost
