Hail, how are you liking the car so far - any impressions that stand out?
One thing I noticed... your tyres look different than mine even though I have the 18's too. I have Bridgestone Potenza's but it looks like you have Dunlops?? I might be mistaken. If I'm right, isn't that a strange occurrence?

It's not that strange. VW use several different tyres on their cars. My Golf GTI had Dunlops too. They sucked... couldn't wait to get them off the car. Every time I accelerated too hard from the line and they lost grip, they caused the entire car to violently shudder. That was fixed after changing the tyres.
New to this forum so just wanted to say hi. Just recieved delivery of a Mark VI GTI With the following specs
White 5dr DSG
Sat nav
Leather
Nav and dyna sound system
ACC

Blue tooth
This has to be one of the best cars I have driven (My old car was a supercharged V8 soarer) very smooth and stylish. Im now waiting to run the car in then ill be installing the revo technik software to give the car a bit more go. Anyway thats my little intro. Congrats on the great forum very exciting to read.
Have you given the Dynaudio a good workout yet? I don't pretend to be an expert, but the balance of the factory system is just brilliant. And the fact that I can wind it up without all the windows rattling is testament to the build quality.
Also, which Bluetooth option did you get? There have been a few discussions on the forums about factory vs aftermarket Bluetooth.
There have also been tuning discussions - mostly revolving around the APR ECU flash. Does the Revo Technik have any advantages over APR that you know of?

I wouldn't buy Revo just for the fact that the company was founded on stolen code and a company that was started by people that were willing to steal is not a company I would choose to deal with.

Yeah... plus, if they needed to steal the code in the first place, it brings in great doubt about them knowing what they're doing to update as appropriate for new models or revisions etc.
Sounds like you've scored a great car though GeorgeM. Hope you can put up some pics soon!
Murfeytheelf- The DynaAudio sound system sounds good to me, im not really a stereo type person so as long as its clear and crisp sounding im happy.
I actually didnt get the bluetooth kit with the car, a friend of mine at volkswagen gave me the basic one not the premium. I still havent had a chance to install it but im sure it will do the job.
In regards to the software option. I chose revo technik because I am a revo dealer and have been impressed by the ones I have done so far. So it is the natural path for me.
In response to the comments about revo as a company, whether they are true or not (this is the first I have heard of them but then again I dont really get involved that much), keep in mind that these comments take away business from guys like me that have nothing to do with revo itself.
I realise that this forum is a major supporter of APR, im not here to compare products or take away business from them, therefore I do not wish to be part of any debates concerning these products.
Sorry GeorgeM for sending this OT. Its just prats like Maverick that are turning this forum to the craper. Hope you enjoy your new golf.
There are a few people chiming in without even congratulating George on the new car, and also obviously pushing products and the fanboi nonsense/brand bashing is getting a bit much.
But you're right there are a few different sponsors on the forums.. not sure about Revo, could be something to look into George?
