She is very pretty, & when you get round to it, you'll love the Dynaudio system.
What's the full specs, & are you willing to share the price you paid?
No worries on specs, and you can work out the price pretty easily. I folded like a deck of cards on everything except a couple of minor options....
5 door DSG
Candy White
Sunroof
Black leather
Electric drivers seat
ACC
RNS510 with Dynaudio
Park Assist with RVC
18" Detroits
MDI
Full tint
Plastic boot tub
GTI MKVI Candy White | 5 door | DSG | ACC | 18" Detroits | Leather | Electric Seat | Sunroof | RNS510 | Dynaudio | Park Assist | RVC | MDI
Thanks for posting pics. Looks sensational. This is the same as mine (exterior) apart from the tint so I am hoping it is close to how mine will look. Take delivery of mine this Friday.
Got in early enough to secure GTI MK6 plates. With the senility taking hold I should be able to remember this number.
I should've waited and get GTI (look much better than the R32 mkv)
I still have dreams about that R32 exhaust note and wake up wondering whether I have made a mistake. Could have got a new R32 for about the same price as the optioned up GTI and was seriously tempted. I think the R32 will eventually appreciate but I don't see that happening with the GTI, which will no doubt be very common in a few months time.
The cars are different but they are both a great drive. Pluses on both sides and no regrets every time you wind up that V6.
Nice car and all, but collected last Friday and only done 150km ... sorry mate, you're not trying hard enough, haha.
Yeah tell me about it. We had a housewarming party on the Saturday which we were desperately underprepared for, so the only drive she got in two days was the 5km trip from the dealership to my driveway, then the missus took her to the shops on Saturday. Sunday we were hungover so we did most of the kms that afternoon.
Good Stuff Murphy - you ticked all the option boxes on that one!
Funny thing was I originally only wanted a few options, but then saw a video of a fully optioned white on Youtube. When the dealer told me there was one available, I sucked up my pride and signed up. I think the only things it doesn't have is bi-xenons and bluetooth. The latter will be coming. I've been told if I order in an aftermarket system the dealership will fit it for me - but with no guarantees.
Thanks for all the comments, guys.

There's no way the R32 will appreciate in this country. You have made the right choice.
definitely not in this country.
There is no best way to choose between those two. I wish I could have both
I love mk 6 GTI with candy white and tinted window + 18inch Coin wheel (thats how i called it ) , I'm gonna go to VW dealer over the weekend and DROOL over it
Very nice mate.
I took a Mk VI for a test drive today and was pretty impressed.
Exterior wise my choice would be the same as yours, candy white with sunroof & 18" rims.

I'd also suggest deliberately slowing down then accelerating up hills to medium high revs (starting at 2,000rpm, revving to 2/3 redline revs at first, then to 3/4 redline) using nearly full throttle to help bed in the rings during the first 1,000km. I did this, and also briefly ran the engines to near full revs after 2,000Km. Neither of my VAG vehicles burn appreciable amounts of oil
On new VWs it is worth checking the oil level in the engine frequently until you find out whether your engine uses oil or not (some do, most don't) - please don't be like the lazy sods who wait until the "low oil level" warning light comes on and then try to blame the manufacturer and/or dealer for their slackness. The owners manual tells you lots of useful info, and some of it is a bit important.
If you are tempted to do an intermediate or early oil change (ie before the first 15,000km/12 months are up), it might pay you to do some research on the issue (see post #8 in this thread) :
