I got a little over 600km for a tank last week. That was mostly highway cruising.
In the city it's around 500km.
My long term average is 9.2L/100km.
I drive like a nana in the city, but like to open her up on my monthly travel west over the mountains

Drove Jindabyne -> Sydney and got a little over 600km on a tank. This was with Caltex 98. 7.7L/100km.
Used cruise control most of the time, with a quick squirt every now and then to overtake.MY13 Golf GTI DSG (SOLD)| Candy White | 18" Detroits | Bi-Xenon Headlights | Street Guardian SG9665C

I got 593km out of the tank before i decided to fill up (before heading on the freeway again) which i was pretty happy with overall - the fuel light hadn't come on yet but it wasn't far off. Averaged 8.2L for the trip.
Drove down the Old Pacific Highway on the way home from near Hornsby to Somersby - love that road.

What's Your AVG Fuel Consumption Read...? (For the Spirited GTI's)
Hey guys
I've recently bought a Mk6 GTi and moving from a Polo I'm wondering what peoples average fuel consumption is in their day 2 day driving, I used to sit on 8.8L with the Polo and that was driving heavy 80% of the time.
Only yesterday I thought I would reset the consumption levels (Golf) to see how "I" drive eliminating 3 yrs prior someone else was driving my car. I'm currently sitting on 9.4L/100 but I've been trying to baby it ever since with maybe one or two spirited burst on the odd occasion.
If people could post what they currently sit on that would be great.
I do about 200kms a week in the Sydney area which consists of mostly metro areas. I have no tune and it's a DSG.
I do realise there may have been another post about this but I'm looking for purely GTi owners with or without a tune.

Sitting on 9.5l city cycle with tune , get to use 5th a fair bit , on the eastern side of city so not too many snarls .
Country is great , usually 6.2l depending on how heavy the gas foot travels .
No change in consumption was really noticed after the tune , but diet of 98 now only .
I don't baby it just move along briskly .

Manual and I drive to work which is just under 500km per week. After owning the car for a month I am getting 8.4 this is a fare bit of traffic and a few bursts zipping in and out.
Once traffic is flowing I get to 6th and consuerve fuel. Loving it more power and less fuel used than my old SSS

Work is 60klm away 3 times a week with no traffic. Rest of the time is short trips with little bits of bursts when on my own. Sometimes long drives on the weekends. Before the bluefin tune I was getting between 6.4 and 6.8 l/100k with the tune I now get 7.5l/100k. Car has just done 100000klm.2015 Golf R. Lapiz Blue.
