I keep a fuel economy spd sheet (because I can) and based upon the economy achieved since the last fill I also calculate the maximum number of kms I could have done on that tank. I just finished a 100hr cycle at 7.5, so pretty happy with that.
I'm rarely in heavy traffic, and usually go 600km+ before filling up.T Go

The R sat on 115 all the way from Melbourne to Sydney apart from a few short stops.
Short blasts now and then either overtaking or just for kicks

Calculated use (although identical to the MFD)
Out GTI used to get under 7 on interstate trips
I normally don't bother with fuel consumption data but this was a good opportunity to compare it to our GTI and also respond to my gourmet meal and rice cake comment
