No..... I just asked Brooke straight out and she told me it was mine....long pause then ..she said it does happen....and sounded like it was not very infrequent. Apparently all they have to do is pop off the facia with some small flathead screw driver and undo 4 screws and slide it out.....an annoyance more than anything, exending the delivery by a bit.
The other guy in Queensland mentioned a white one he saw a few days ago had the same issue.
Had a look at a few RNS 510s on ebay and wondered if it could be mine???.
I was just really glad to see there was no other visible damage than a really small scratch on the fascia that they are replacing anyway.
Probably looking like will get it Tuesday and not tomorrow...after all I have waited 10 months...what is another few day.
Will however give it a thorough once over before and money is handed over.
I actually asked to make sure that they used original screw to affix the new SAT/NAV....wonder if they have???

How long to get off the docks?

Does any know the average time it takes to get off the docks from Melbourne? I heard Melbourne is way quicker than say Sydney (Port Kembla) or Brisbane.

My car came in to Port Kembla 28 May and is supposed top be delivered to me by 18 June according to recent discussion with my dealer.... that is about 3 weeks from port to me..... We will see huh?

Mine was on the same boat. It's booked in for delivery on the 16th. That's 17 days from the boat arriving until delivery.

MIne took 3 weeks and 2 days from docking in Melb to delivery in Sydney. This included a dealer swap and happened in the midst of all the recent strike action.

Tuesday - today spoke to my dealer... car has arrived, just getting rego organised. Going for standards EURO white (extra long) plates front and back since it is a CW car - picking up on Friday morning..... woo hooo!!!

Not bad - ordered Mid March, arrived May 28, keys in hand 17 June - about 3 months!

Have the check list ready for pre-delivery checks, gotta get the bank cheque and sign the rego papers and brrooooom....

Spoke to dealer again - plates organised, going on today, tried to get them to throw in rear cargo rubber mat, GTI embossed carpets and iphone cable but no luck! Also said the GTI and R come with embossed carpets already as standard.... will see huh? tomorrow is the day, insurance cover sorted, bank cheque ready ....
