Hi Danny.
Thanks for that....yeah sorry, I'm not helping anyone with their extended wait am I.
Yeah i had the black 19's.
Wanted something a little different.
Washed the car yesterday and then used Dodo soft wax for dark cars, if I say so myself the car came up pretty good
pom829 she looks great mate, same colour as my 118TSi which gets delivered to me next week. The one at the dealer didn't look as nice as yours! How long did it take you? Where can I buy Dodo? What are you using to apply?
Thanks, the colour does come up really well, I reckon it took me about nearly 2 hours but that included wash, dry, tyres, vacum and wax.
I use Dodo Juice Purple Haze soft wax(for dark cars) it doesn't leave any residue and comes ups with a great mirror finish, the good thing being a soft wax its easy to apply.
To apply it I use Dodo Juice Supernatural Finger Mitt and I always use terry towling clothes to finsh off. Never leaves any swirls of marks.
I finish the tyres off with Zaino Z16 Perfect Tire Gloss, again a excellent product as it leaves a high gloss shine but is not sticky so will not collect dust or dirt.
All up probably cost me about $200 on cleaning products but should last me a couple of years and to be honest its not a lot of money when you spend $30K+ on a car.
All my products I get from Car Care Products / Car Care, Car Wax, Car Polish, Car Covers, Detailing products & more ... but I'm sure there are other places.
Yep, Purple Haze or if you feel like spending a bit more, Supernatural. I used it on my car and it's amazing stuff. You just need time to do it properly.

Just in case people don't look in the bodywork/trim & detailing forum, I've put up a couple of pics of the finish with 3 coats of Supernatural in this thread:
