Recently I came across some '10 Audi S4 rim Replicas that are very close to the Talladega rim, and in someways look even better.

While I personally feel they look too small (especially in profile - see above) and am not really a fan of the Talledega style, they do show off the red calipers very nicely! (The Denvers - and even Detroits - do obscure the calipers and discs!) I do think these are a better match for the GTI than the S3 rims you had fitted.

I really like the look of those alloys AdamD, that rear photo shot is now my new desktop wallpaper . All you need to do now is get some tinting done. Are those wheels available as a dealer option on the Mk6 GTI's ?. Any other copies you know of ?.

You're absolutely right, I do need to get the tints done, and before summer too. Better hurry up with that!

Do you have a TSI/TDI, GTI or an R, rider007?

The Omanyts aren't available as a dealer option unfortunately. I bought mine from a member on this forum in NSW, who had taken them off his MkV R32. The only current VW with Omanyts fitted is the Passat R36, but they're in 18x8, and not the 18x7.5 that's correct fitment for the Golf. If you're lucky you might be able to hunt down a dealer with an R32 on hand who'd be willing to do a trade, but I don't like your chances. Failing that, it's the forum classifieds, eBay, or a set of replicas (google "R32 wheel" - here's an example; not that I'd recommend a replica personally).

whats your thoughts on the beige leather? not sure if im a fan or not......... does it show marks easily? (ie are u forever wiping off small swipes of smudges?)

why did u go beige over black?

It will show up marks, but I don't carry passengers, so it's not a big deal. Mild soapy water applied carefully will get rid of marks on the seats, and I use Armor-all for the plastics.

I got the car second hand cheap. I would've got black originally, but now I prefer the beige - it's a bit like an Alfa or a Ferrari (in my mind) It's more unique in any case.

I got one of those Clarivue screen protectors for the RNS510 - and wasn't thrilled when the sticky tag on it used to remove one of the discardable pieces left a sticky mark on it. The screen protector also means you can't really touch'n'drag to scroll as the protector will just move with your finger.

No need to answer that, it is your car parked in the street where I live, I drove past it on the way home tonight. You're often parked near the TSI that also parks in the street.
