Haha! I think I'll be sleeping in the garage and bonding with my R for the first 5 days!

Can I ask you something about the RNS510... do you know if it has the latest firmware or not?Originally posted by AJW View PostGood choice of specs
I already had the number plate from my last GTI so I had it transfered.
Just went for a drive to test the headlights and check it wasn't too lonely in the garage without me.MY11 Golf GTI | Candy White | 5DR | DSG | ACC | Bi-Xennons | 18" Detroits | Sat Nav | Dynaudio | Reversing Camera | MDI

Nice pics of the family (GTI and EOS) there - does that mean you might get a Golf Cabriolet in 9 or so months?

Hello from the US. Here are some random shots that all of you down under might like to see from a trip I did this month down to Death Valley California. Enjoy!
Here are some random shots from there:

As gas prices are in Death Valley today, US National gas prices will surely follow. I am glad my GTI gets 32 mpg! I'm not sure what you guys pay for premium gas but I think that this translates into about $5.43/gallon. Today on average US prices for premium are about $3.00/gallon, and Death Valley is famous for having the highest gas prices in the US.

This was in the parking lot of Badwater California, 375 ft below sea level.

On the road outside of Barstow California. This is a welding shop that is a favorite photo stop.

Nice pics! They look like Golf R wheels.Originally posted by Orient Express View PostHello from the US. Here are some random shots that all of you down under might like to see from a trip I did this month down to Death Valley California. Enjoy!
That works out to about AUD$1.28/litre. Premium (98 RON) here at the moment is about AUD$1.47/litre in Sydney, around AUD$1.40 in Canberra. This is pretty normal. Queensland usually has cheaper petrol than us.As gas prices are in Death Valley today, US National gas prices will surely follow. I am glad my GTI gets 32 mpg! Cheap Queensland fuel is a thing of the past the state govt. removed the subsidies so I think it is now parity with everyone elseCurrent Ride: MY 16 Daytona Pearl Grey Audi S3- Performance Pack 1, Sunroof and Driver assist

It is the 2.0 TSI with an APR stage 1 update and 6 sp DSG. I've put larger front and rear roll bars, and other cosmetic bits like the LED tail lights, and rear view camera, etc. I've got the RNS-510 radio and the 9W7 bluetooth module too. The wheels are Audi S4 replicas.Originally posted by SilvrFoxX View PostWicked Shots.. love the RED.. whats the spec of your Golf
This has turned out to be one of the best touring cars I have ever had. It is very rare here in the US as we don't seem to like 5 door hatchbacks at all.

A tint installer told me that those "darkest legal tints" (including the ones they install) are actually all about 28%, and hence technically illegal. Look great though.Originally posted by driver19 View PostThat's a bit of a worry that it is not legal now though... did you ask for 35%? I was planning on either their Octane or Midnight Express.

Fantastic pics Shakespeare, the RB looks great in the sunshine.
Has the front windows been tinted or are you having that done later? They look darker than normal but not as dark as the rears, then again it may just be the bush beside the car that makes them look darker.MY11 Golf R - Rising Blue - 5DR - DSG - 19" Black OZ Ultralegerra - Leather - Sunroof - MDI - Euro Plates - Milltek Exhaust - Bluefin - SOLD
