Forums are like an encyclopaedia whereas Facebook is a daily newspaper. I use both - FB is better for organising events but Forums are better for ongoing/tech discussion, build threads, etc.

And that's pretty much it, I consider Facebook to be more for conversation. Things only remain visible while they are being talked about where as forums keep a more permanent record that people can search and find things on. Especially great for older cars that move into the 2nd (and 3rd, 4th, 5th hand market...) where new owners run into common issues (I know I've actively referred to old threads on DIY things for my old VR6!).Originally posted by tigger73 View Post

I find FB is great for sharing pics and little blurts but forums are way way better.
The forum community is better too

just checking in, I don't bothered with fb and usually don't frequent this forum unless the car has problems. Speaking of problems, just replaced failed pcv with pcv delete plate, installed dv+ as precaution, then headliner still needs to be fixed... bloody designed to fail oem parts.RiceBurger
