Anyone that wants BBS wheels and buys from an Australian distributer has either too much money or never heard of the internetz.

Apologies to the Aussie resellers out there, but the savings are just too damn good to pass up.

Yar the internets is win, I have had a look at the prices on Tirerack (sp*)

My mate also gave me a link to Tempe tyres for the RS4 reps, though I am a bit wary about not buying a wheel from "branded" company as to its reliability. But for $2k including tyres I guess you really do get what you pay for, and the RS4's look pretty good.

BBS for the win. In fact, BBS or ban - lol.

          I swear I'm not biased.

I just got a shipping quote from Tirerack for a set of 18" BBS CK wheels.

FEDX PRIORITY (1-3 DAYS) - $ 434.37 SHIPPING METHOD FIP
FEDX ECONOMY (3-5 DAYS) - $ 304.00 SHIPPING METHOD FIE

So I'm estimating the total cost to set me back no more than $2,500 (including customs duty, GST, etc).

I've seen the thread on 18/19/20 inch wheels and I am still inclined not to go any bigger than the stock 18's but then keep thinking if I am spending the money then why not 19's.

Be interested to see the look on my work colleagues when 4 wheels turn up at work =)

remember that it also depends on how wide the wheels are as to how big they look diameter-wise. If you go 9" wide all round then 18's would be plenty big; they'd look very tough. i'm on 17x8.5 all round and that still looks way better than skinny 18 or 19" wheels imo. one day ill go 18x10 on the rear

i reckon there's just some sort of affinity between vw golfs and bbs multispoke rims.. they always look good!!!
                    19s are perfect on mk5.

Jayjay, it's because they had 'em as stock a while back....VR6 years ago
They looked fantastic then, and damn they look just as good now! I'd go BBS first choice mate, and then the Oettingers. The Oettingers are sexy on GT15VW's car and the BBS are just plain sexy.
