How long did ou wait for your VW

I waited for 2 months for my 2007 MKV TDI 2.0

Hey Guys,

I ordered my GT Sport 5drs TSI Blue Graphite with Leather and Sunroof on the 1st of June and was told the car should arrived in Australia on the 24th of June and Delivery date to be around Mid July.

I also made the mistake of selling my car on Saturday so i will be without a car until then.

My question is how accurate are those date given to me by the VW dealer in Chatswood?

I'm worry if it will get push back! The wait is already killing me.

4 days from Chatswood Classics...what a fluke to find a Jetta in stock that matched my requirement on the dealer down the road. They almost missed the ETA and delayed it another day but after so many calls during the day and I insisted on not leaving there without my new car that afternoon, so the salesperson had to stay back past 5.30pm to do my paperwork and do an express handover briefing for me...they didn't even have the time to detail the car, just ripped out the plastic covers off the seats and body panels, etc.

Bigman, you just have to keep pushing them to stick with the ETA given and make many calls to keep you on their "priority" list...heh...

To me, a dusty new VDub NOW in my possession worths more than a bling sparkly one tomorrow

I email them every now and then asking them how its going, sometime they dont even reply me anymore!

Anyway i really hope i will get the car by early july and i cannot wait anymore!

how long does it normally take to dispatch the car and the dealer register it and all other stuff they do to the time i get the car??

They said i will definately get it by mid July... which is what i really really need otherwise i have to start renting car etc...

Yopu can see almost "everything". Once the car arrives at Kembla Port.....the ghosting, cloaking anti-klingon device is enabled....then it's anyone's guess.

Haha...I guess you could step up hassling the dealer once you think you know the car has arrived into the dealer's posession from shipping...that way the more you are a pain to them, the sooner they want to get rid of you off their back

Gotta work them for their commission!!

I'd say mid July would be on the money there. ~2 weeks is what it normally takes from landing to parking your arse in it.

Be aware it could take longer than 2 weeks, as Patricks can be quite slow doing the compliancing and delivering the car to the dealer. One of mine took 2 1/2 weeks and the other 3 1/2 weeks, and I have heard of 4+ weeks. I think VW won't pay for the "premium" service, so their cars get left till last by Patricks.

Once the dealer has physical possession they can get the car ready in 1-3 days, depending on how quickly they want to get their $$$.

Where are you situated?

Our car was on the same ship....and the dealer has not been able to tell me anything. And I am waiting for the .:R to come back over to Perth (ex Port Kembla).
