My 3dr Black GTI was ordered 5th February, was initially told 5th June (i.e. 4 months) but that's starting to blow out a bit.

No idea why it's taking so long to clear customs etc in Port Kembla. From a search I did on the topic, it seems most people wait 3-4 days before Patricks take control of the car. I'm starting to get a bit frustrated but I've waited this long, so what's another couple of weeks!!!

Only waited 1 month for my Jetta,as South Yarra VW did not have a Silver Auto in stock,but managed to get it from another dealer,but at that stage it was on the waters from Mexico.

I wanted a Tornado Red GTI DSG, Cow, Roof, RNS510, Xenon. They told me 5mths. Not an option for me i'm impatient. Fleet company found a Tornado DSG with Cow and Roof but only 3 week wait. I'm due to pick it up next week finally!!!!!!!. A friend of mine in the US ordered an AMG SL55 it was 18 months!!!!!!!! and had to pay a huge deposit.

BMP 5 door GTI with beige leather, DSG and parking sensors and i got it in 5 weeks. turned out they had the exact one and spec sitting in QLD. im sure it wouldnt of taken as long but there was the christmas/ new year break in the middle of that time.
my sister had to wait 6 months for her silver RS GTI with leather

Don't count ya chickens mate, it's likely to be just as "reliable".

Passat took 5 months
EOS has taken 8 months due to a mix up by the dealer. Had to re-order the car
GTI looking to be 3-4 months.

They had one in stock, in fact they have a few Gti's in stock and many other dealers have them in stock

ie: 5 Door, Gti, DSG, Leather, Sunroof.

Hey Guys,

I ordered my GT Sport 5drs TSI Blue Graphite with Leather and Sunroof on the 1st of June and was told the car should arrived in Australia on the 24th of June and Delivery date to be around Mid July.

I also made the mistake of selling my car on Saturday so i will be without a car until then.

My question is how accurate are those date given to me by the VW dealer in Chatswood?

I'm worry if it will get push back! The wait is already killing me.

I have to say i admire the patience of some of you guys, i dont wait for anything. never could and never will.

I was advised in January when first looking at the R32, that I may have to wait up to 6 months for the R32 specs that I wanted.

Test drove the R on 9th May 2008. Settled on the configuration we wanted by 16th May 2008. Various brokers advised that the car was not available in those specs in Oz at the moment...has to be ordered (6 months).

Went back to dealer, pleaded my case, found one (exact specs) on the "Don Carlos on it's way to Australia. Car ordered, and subsequently claimed on the incoming inventory. Ship unloads this Sunday (15/6) at Port Kembla.

Will take up to 4 weeks to get the car back to Perth.....start my holidays on 8th July...so guess where I will be that day? At the stealership.....looking for my .:R goodness.
