Thanks Anthony. Yes, I am very happy with it. It is that grey/very dark blue colour, with full leather interior and heated seats. Have already had a few comments from friends/family asking if it was new! Only had 1 previous owner and full dealer service history, so hopefully that all works out well (touch wood).Originally posted by anthony View PostJettas are really nice, what car did you have previously, and what others did you consider ???
Which colour is it,I think you got it for a good price.
Given the price of the used Jetta's, after a while that was all I was considering pretty much. Started off looking at Lancers, i30's etc which are similar in price but obviously very different, then compared golf's with jetta's and actually preferred the Jetta's looks. Then it was just a matter of finding the right one, and it came up within about 3 weeks of looking!

Somewhere our wires have crossed.Originally posted by drwhite View PostOkay great, but where online can I find the VW Au Store? There seems to be 'VW Australia' on ebay but doesn't have the exterior emblems...
I'll say it as clearly as I can.
If you don't buy from an overseas online seller (there are dozens) then you'll have to buy from VW Australia spare parts. This will require you to visit a bricks & mortar vehcile dealership franchises with a spare parts department. VW Australia don't have an online retail presence. Maybe one of the Australian dealership franchises has an online spares presence but I'm not aware of one.carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic

My two cents worth.Originally posted by drwhite View PostOk fair enough. So do we know what combination of emblems the 2007 Jetta TDI has normally? Is it all chrome Jetta on the left with all chrome TDI on the right? Or is there a 2.0 TDI/combination with blue or red 'I'?
2006 and early 2007 TDI's were delivered without the "2.0 TDI" chrome badge displayed on the right hand side even though the brochures (overseas brochure shown in Australia) had them.
I purchased my "2.0 TDI'' chrome badge on ebay from Euro seller for around $20-$25 (cannot remember exactly as was in late 2006) and matched the same font and size as the original "JETTA" badge on the LHD.
The red "I" and probably the blue "I" generally indicate a higher spec output of the engine. Happy to be corrected on the meaning of the blue colour though.
Good luck

Red usually means more killerwasps. Blue is probably for an Eco-tuned model?Originally posted by BeigeJet View PostThe red "I" and probably the blue "I" generally indicate a higher spec output of the engine. Depends on what your risk profile is & how much you want to spend.
Personally, I think the first mod anyone should do is a remap.
With 80,000+ km the dampers are probably starting to get tired so fit Koni Sports adjustable dampers.
I could think of a dozen things to do but if you are risk averse & your idea of a mod is to fit LEDs to the parking lights then we are talking different languages.carandimage The place where Off-Topic is On-Topic

How do I organise a remap and what is the usual cost? I'm in Adelaide.
