Has anyone taken delivery of a Blue Graphite GTI yet? Could you post some pics?

Thanks for that - has eased my concerns. Saw it on a Jetta over the weekend and didn't like it.

Are you going to colour code yours? Any other mods? I think that colour will look good with the R32 tail lights.

Think I might do the colour coding when I get around to it. Only mod so far is stubby aeriel lol

Wouldnt mind some new rims and maybe a bluefin rechip at some stage.

No need to be concerned at all, blue graphite is a very nice colour. It was actually my initial preference, but after considerable consideration I decided against it. As a colour, I actually prefer it to the united grey that I ended up getting, but ultimately I felt that the effect of the black grille and darkened headlights (the factors that give the front end a more aggressive look) was largely lost against the dark paintwork. The grille, headlights and fogs just seemed to blend in rather than contrast against the paint like they do on lighter colours. Other than that, I reckon it's brilliant.

Very true, but unfortunately we GT sport owners don't get the go fast red bits.

I had a look at the blue graphite Gti in the link - very, very nice.

I saw one in Melbourne yesterday. Looked pretty good, though the owner didn't wave back.....

what did you see?



the jetta doesnt have an external antenna so you cant change it.

also if you want to change the whole front to make it look like a GTI you have to buy a GTI bumper and have the whole thing resprayed.

just found out my car is built and on the docks in SA. due to arrive in Sydney/Port Kembla on 1/4/08. I hope that doesn't turn out to be an April Fools joke!

I tried typing the VIN No into the tracking tool but it doesn't know about it yet. Waiting Waiting Waiting.

Tracking tool isnt working for me either and my ship sailed a few days ago, due in Melb port on 16 March. I'm guessing i wont have the car until last week of March or 1st week of April.
Mine also sat on the dock in SA for about 2 weeks.

I ordered on 06 Dec 07.
