It might be worth double checking the Vin you have. If a "2" is recorded as a "Z" or vice versa it will be incorrect and won't work (I've heard of dealers getting it wrong when giving it to the customer).

Punched the VIN into the tracking website this morning and up pop some info.
At least i can see thats its on its way now.
The dealer just told me its due at Melbourne port on 21/03 (even though the shipping co's schedule says 17/03) then it takes about 10 days for them to receive the car and about 3 days for them to get it ready for me.
That will mean i get it in 1st week of april, = 4 months wait from date of order.

Logzy, it''l be worth it. Trust me

Having a week in the dub now, I have to say I think you made a good choice with the DSG. driving the manual round town after a lazy V8 auto is a whole different kettle of fish. The turbo lag and first gear takeoff's is a bit of a learning curve for me, but I'm getting used to it. I've lost a few drags though, which is a new feeling! Still, I'm not giving it too much stick as it is still very new, and I'm still a cr@p manual driver......

I have to say the in gear acceleration, and the sheer brilliance through the hills more than makes up for this in my books.

Still it must suck having to wait so long. 3 weeks and I was getting edgy....

Oh yeah the Blue is a nice colour!

Although i love driving manuals in the end i just thought theres no way im driving a manual to and from work every day.
The only thing i am dissapointed about is that i wont get 430nm chipped with the DSG
Chipping with DSG will limit me to about 380nm or maybe even less i think and a 20kw power gain.

The wait is killing me but i am even surprising myself in how relaxed i am about it. A bit edgy now and then but no "HURRY THE F@#$ UP" phone call to the dealer.
              Not yet anyway.

By the time i get the car I'll have that many mods to do, I've had too much time to collect things.
Polished Stainless Steel door sill plates, RNS510, premium bluetooth, Neuspeed pro cup kit, stubby antenna, VAG-COM to play with.
Then theres the window tinting which i would have already bought if i could and the 18" rims which may just appear in my garage before the car arrives.

Dont expect a superfast car when you're chipped. It'll just feel like "ohh this is how it should have been from factory".

and by dont expect superfast, i mean compared to evo 9 with 400nm or wrx sti with 21psi boost.

only downside is the flash makes the car fast but the torque is low compared to jap cars and more expensive to boost. esp. on parts and turbo's.

most bluefin or giac and APR guys have got approx 155-165kw atw.

which is nice on a vw but by no means superfast when comparing a 255 kw atw jap car
