Haven't had anyone flash me yet. They seem to sit low enough in my car to not bother those coming in the other direction. I find that they sit just under the glass on a vehicle I'm behind.

Great lights though, if I got a GTI I wouldn't have optioned them up but the difference they make from standard lights is exceptional.

And for just how long would that be in an R32 mate?

        Hi

As said xenon's have a very good cut-off but sometimes when a car with xenon's goes over dip in the road it can look like they are flashing the high beam, this probably causes a lot of the anger by other drivers.

IIRC it is possible to use Vag-Com to re-program your rear fogs so that they both come on together, but I think it is better to have just the one on the driver's side. The rationale goes along the following lines:

2 normal lights = tail lights

3 bright lights = brake lights

1 bright light = fog light

If the high (centre) brake light isn't working then the two brake lights could easily be confused with two fog lights, and the numpty behind mightn't start braking until a crash is unavoidable.

And for a bonus - a piece of useless trivia; the reason fog (and brake lights) are so dazzling and irritating is because red light doesn't cause your pupils to contract like they do with white (or yellow light).

some clown wrote in to the Herald Sun today 'letters to the editor' -

"I'd like to see a drink drive, bloody idiot style campaign aout headlight adjustment and the danger of failin to do so. And how many of us have been blinded by those new headlights"

              HA HA HA HA

I hope my zenons are some of the ones that have 'blinded' him

What people need to understand is that if you are looking into the oncoming traffics headlights then you are not watching where you are driving anyway.

"not watching the road in front of you - bloody idiot"

No doubt about it, the person that wrote that letter has to be a bogan who drives a 1988 VN Commonwhore!

                    Hi

I drive a lot at night for my job.

It can get really annoying having people driving around with "incorrectly" adjusted headlights, taxis are the worst, I suppose after they've had a few hits.

Some fog lights are really bad as well.

Driving with your rear fog lights on when they are not needed, is just asking to get hit up the bum, because there is not enough transition between tail lights and brake lights when the rear fog lights are on.
