Yes, ditto all the congrats mate. It's a shame that your first reveal was a little concerning, but when you think about it, you don't need to deal with the sales guys much now. Just get to know the service mob quite well. If you need, find a VW dealer closer to home, or closer to work, and check them out. Who cares - all VW dealers, no? Some are just better than others. I think Beigejet and I share a dealer (?Barloworld in Glen Waverley?) because they really showed me the ins and outs of the car, so they are pretty good that way. And they follow up to ensure all is OK later. Nice.

The new forum software is an upgraded version of what came before, it's mostly the same but also a little different. Hopefully easier to use and more stable than before.
We are learning together here, so please be patient. If you have questions, please post them here. If you have worked something out and can provide an answer,

i disabled the double unlock thingy. Just one press unlocks everything now. Was pissing me off. took a friend out tonight and i kept unlocking the car and hopping in and she was stuck out in the cold! Just a word of advice for anyone in the market. chicks dig heated seats!
they left the original pre delivery checklist form in the glovebox and also the carbon copy of it. Im assuming its something they are sposed to keep?! It has a nice big tick! next to the radio check. still made me chuckle. At the end of the day car is awesome so far! Im gonna go easy on it for the first 1500kms or so. Not be scared to use some throttle but keep revs down i guess. But i have to say that im impressed with the torque this thing has down low. Comes on nice and strong.

We sure do. And their follow for the 1st few months was great.
There are about 10 people here where I work all have leased VW and all have a good experience with Barlo's service Dept. Not all these vehicles were supplied by this dealer but all get the same quality of service. Inclusing a wash and vacuum!
Oh and they supply brand new bottle openers with there cars! At least mine was.BeigeJet

Another thing chicks dig... is standing next to her and opening the door for
her.. This might over come your problem with leaving her " stuck out in the
cold".
hehe. enjoy the car.

it is a metal bottle opener that clips into the bottom of the slidey cubbyhole near the handbrake. If its not clipped into the bottom. sometimes its slide into the receptical for it at the top of the cubbyhole. it splits it in two and turns it into a cup holder

woo i have a radio! the guys at glenwaverly were pretty flat out so i had to hang about for about an hour. But they plugged her in. downloaded the code and wrote it on a card for me.
and hmmm ill need to drive the GTI a bit longer to compare them properly. Im also not reving it too hard at the minute. It was delivered with only 20kms on it.
obviously its 1000000x more refined than my VR6. Im jsut surprised at how flexible the engine appears to be. The VR6 really likes living in its rev range. But this thing doesnt mind pulling from down low. Ud kinda think it would be the opposite given the VR is NA and the GTI is FI. They have done a really good job on matching the turbo to the engine i reckon
