        It uses canbus signal

The canbus speed is the GPS speed, my speedo is reading 8kmh high @ 100km/h (checked with canbus and additional GPS = same)

            Is this normal? -_-

I've also been using a GPS at the same time and the speed the climate control is telling me is pretty much on par with the GPS.

Any of that "trickery" available on 2009 Jetta 77kw TDI-7 speed DSG (1.6 litre diesel)????
Doesn't seem to have an "eco" mode.

I might have missed this in one of the posts, but how do you get back to 'normal' operation?

                cheers

John @ DNA Tuning Australia has just mentioned this possibility to me with regard to my B5 (99) Passat. Does this or something similar also work for Passats?

If it helps anyone I found these links for Passat B5:

                    PassatWorld

                    Audiworld

Holding the Fan Speed Down, Temperature Colder & ECON all at the same time worked for my B5 and the + / - temperature control buttons worked to scroll up and down through the codes

This type of stuff is even on mk3's, but it uses the screen under the speedo - pretty neat

I used to do this in my 1995 Audi A4.. The novelty wore off pretty quickly.

I still use it all the time - the obd speedo readout is very accurate compared to the speedo dial.

I recently found out that my speedo was out by 9kph, no wonder i have had no speeding fines. Now when i travel into VIC i just set cruise accordingly and Sa just set on 119. Maybe i would have been better not finding out.

That display can still be out. Best to check your speed with a seperate gps and adj to that.
