Got Thursday off from work to play with my new toy
Friday getting the Invisible Car Bra guy (James) protecting the Bumper, Bonnet, Guards, External Mirrors & Lights (won't mind sitting behind a truck dropping crap on the freeway so much after that).

and one after.
Are you getting the whole bonnet and guards done or just the standard
half bonnet and top section of guards.

Bluetooth adaptor comes bundled with the main unit.

Took a few photos today at the dealership. Will post them up later tonight.

Will also post some shots with the AVIC installed, plus before and after shots of the invisible car bra.

Lights and mirrors are pretty much completely covered as is the bumper.

Be interesting to here about other ppl's experiences when picking up their new car from a VW Dealer.

I have bought a few new cars over the past few years and I must say that the experience I had today was by far the best (absolutely crapped on Audi when they delivered my new car). Congratulations to Barloworld VW dealership in Springvale Road, Melbourne. Chris Dekas was the sales rep and he was most professional (& excellent).

The actual delivery of the car went something like this:
Chris: You wanna go see you car?
Me: Reckon so.
Chris: OK, lets go.
We are in the main showroom. We start walking to the service department where I had spotted a blue Jetta, thought it was probably mine.
As we walk past a car in the center of the showroom with a car blanket over it, Chris whips it off to present my new car. Right in the middle of the showroom - absolutely fantastic. Photos attached - & bloody hell, the camera battery started to die as I was taking photos

Ahh yes the feeling of driving your brand new car out the VW showroom. That was the greatest feeing i have ever had.....although i was a little nervous i would stall it in front of the sales rep

Yeah the service was the same at barloworld mentone. Car parked in main showroom, keys handed over with a handshake and a congrats. Then with a twist of the key in the ignition and i was off straight into.....peak hour traffic on the nepean, but for once i didnt care about traffic because i was in my new GTI.

This would be the only optional extra you have not got.

Good question.
Answer was I would have liked to have them, but no cars coming in had that configuration.
Probably would have been one of those 3 month waits - needed to change over for taxation reasons, etc before then so here we are.
