Ended up getting stung on duties and taxes tho. Not to bad tho, only $318

Hopefully the next post will have some pic's of the new rims for you all.....
Nice can't wait to see them. Taking into account the price, shipping, exchange rate, duty and gst how did the overall price in AUD compare to buy them here? Was the saving still significant?

    Cheers Al

With the current exchange rate + duties and taxes, the total bill was roughly $2150AUD for a set of 4 rims...

....this compares rather nicely with the near $4400 (!!!!!) the local disti was going to charge!

so, as long as they get here in excellent condition (and they fit), I think I have got myself a great buy. Tirerack were briliant to deal with in the end and freight was very quick.

obvoiusly thats because the shipment was over the $1000 threshold. Did they ship each seperately or as 1 item total??

shipped as 2 seperate lots....happy to pay a bit extra rather than risk them sending 4 boxes and have one go missing....not that patient a man!
