I'm not sure if a 5 door Pirelli is more expensive than a 3 door Pirelli though?
      Pirelli's only come in a 5 door

They were actually released in both 3 and 5 door guise.

I'm contemplating on getting a Golf GTI with leather/DSG

Im in Brisbane, and the best quote I have so far is $45,490 driveaway. It's brand new not a demonstrator.

Anyone else in Brisbane/QLD gotten a better figure recently? If so which dealership?

Any help or suggestion in getting a better price?
Hi Schnapp, I'm on the Gold Coast and went to Southport VW and was quoted $45990d/a for Gti DSG Leather. Seems to be similar to your Bris. quote. Not sure how negotiable they are though.

I was after Reflex Silver but they only have 2 black ones in stock. Not sure if they will charge extra to bring in a silver one from elsewhere?

Haven't heard about this offer. Is it an Aust. wide VW thing for free servicing with an ABN?

Volkswagen Australia has a range of new passenger and commercial Volkswagen cars and SUVs. Build your own, request a brochure and find a dealer online today!

The 3yr free service is for 3yr scheduled services, OR free scheduled services until 45,000km, which ever comes first. So you probably save $1000-$1500 there.

I'd rather have the free onroads ( rego, stamp duty + dealer delivery waived ) which could save thousands.

Free onroads is for non-commercial vehicles, free servicing is for commerical vehicles only. So you only get 1 deal.

Apart from leather what other things are included in this price? Sunroof? Any other features? I think the price is a bit much.

If you want a great price, be prepared to take ANY colour. If they have to order in, you'll pay more.

No, that price is with no sunroof. The sales girl suggested it is a good price as VW absorb on-road costs. She said GTi's were usually closer to $50k d/a. Should I be pressing for a better deal, or don't they have room to move on new cars?

You should aim for $42-$43k for 5d GTI DSG with leather drive-away.

Hi minbin, what do you think should be the price I should aim for an R32 5 door with sunroof and DSG d/a? Cheers.

Sorry mate, I'm not really sure how much the R32s go for. I am only familiar with the GTI price because I bought one recently after a lot of research & shopping around.

Some of the deals the forum members had are absolute bargains & I think you will be disappointed if you approach the dealers with the lowest price posted here. If you can achieve it, good for you. If not, just aim to not get ripped off.
I think $46k for GTI DSG leather is too much unless you can get a sat nav or a sunroof thrown in.

I was quoted $55K d/a for a new R32 5door DSG without roof and $56.9K with roof. Does that seem reasonable?

Would've thought that's a very good price considering it's nearly $5k off RRP + on road costs included.

If they're are discounting so heavily, perhaps you can ask for discount on the extended warranty or 3 year service & bundle it all together?
