take it from someone with personal experience
(long long ago)
it's a $67 fine (in NSW) to use fog lights when the conditions do not warrant it.
high beams and driving lights may be used at any time, and in any conditions, as long as
there is no oncoming vehicle within 200 meters, NSW regulations state that lights must be dipped
when closer than 200 meters or when the other vehicle dips their lights.(which ever happens first)
fog lights can only legally be used in poor visibility situations. I learned my lesson the hard way.
Jason.
