$1300 seems to be at the higher end of what people are paying.

I'm just curious to see what people have paid.... as I had the fleet controller for VGA arrange mine... plus i'm always guaranteed a loan vehicle when needed as she gives me a press car..

FYI - I paid $1157.14 through Jaz at SCC for the 3yr extended warranty on my V6 3.2 4motion DSG Passat Wagon (which has plenty of gizmos and gadgets on it to break !) - yes, sorry, I know it is not a Golf or Jetta but it interesting info anyhow for this thread for those shopping around for this.

The fact I bought my A3 through them 3 yrs ago may have helped me get an extra special discount ,so maybe leverage off the dealership you bought it from if you bought it new.

I just bought the extended new car warranty from McCarrolls in Waitara - my factory warranty runs out on the 2nd of Oct 2010 - but the policy they sent me today for the extended warranty states my insurance period is from the 2nd of October 2007 to 2nd of April 2013.

Why did they cut 6 months off the end? 36 months from the end of the factory warranty should take me up to the 2nd of October 2010.

PS. I paid $1414 for the (36 month/60,000km) extended cover on my 2007 GTI with DSG.

I'm not surprised they stuffed up. I wouldn't even buy a keyring from them.

I called them the next day, and they did fix the stuff up. My extended warranty now expires 2 Oct 2013.

I serviced my car with them 12 months ago (give or take) and the oil filter leaked oil all over the place the next day - had to take it back to have it fixed.

Then had my car serviced by them again a few weeks ago. And the next day my aircon stopped working. Amazing coincidence. Am now waiting for them to replace 4 aircon parts next week (under warranty of course). This of course prompted my sudden desire to extend my warranty for another three years.

It probably is a genuine coincidence - VW a/c compressors are failing left right and centre at the moment, and it is an expensive fix

This of course prompted my sudden desire to extend my warranty for another three years.
