VW's 3 Year Extended Warranty

got to page 20 and was getting confused, so im looking at buying a second hand r32 its a 08 model, can i purchase extended warranty on the car from a vw dealer and it will cover the car, it has only got 60 000kms on the clock???

pretty sure the extended warranty can only be purchased while the car is still under the original warranty.

A Polo 2010 build delivered 11 Jan 2011 77TSI Comfortline 7800km Dealer Quote $1500 for 2 years

B 2011 Passat Wagon TDI delivered June 2011 All the fruit 8000km " " $3300 for 2 years.


Good or not???? Is underwritten by Allianz via VW.

Anyone know of equivalent cheaper

Got till end of next week to decide. I take it that these warranties DONT kick in till the original manufacturers warranty runs out and gives you extra time from then.

If you buy the Alliance extended Warranty while your car is still under the Manufactors warranty you get the same warranty as if it was a new car warranty all repairs are covered,

Based on my one and last claims experience with Allianz they will never a see a cent of my money again, I would consider anything issued by Allianz as significantly less valuable than the paper it's written on.

I was told by Camberwell VW that the roadside assist is not included in the extended warranty and it's an optional extra around $250 odd.

He also informed me of what appears to be a 3rd 'VW equivalent' warranty option underwritten by Swann insurance? He says that is the highest selling so far at Camberwell VW?

Based on my claims experience with Swann I would rate it somewhere between Allianz's value and that of the envelope in which they deliver their bull**** excuses.
