It is kinda hard to feel sorry for you when you've left it till the 11th hour to get things sorted and you can't even call the dealers (even when the contact details have been given to you)
You are on your own.
I probably should been more clear..I have been trying to contact Jamil for just over a fortnight now, and I contacted both Subaru dealers who said he would be back on the 27th..so i called back then and was told he still wasnt in. I also called Jaz and was put on hold several times for over 15mins as she was busy..then i called back and she suddenly doesnt work there.
In future please dont presume mate..I was only asking for some help and do appreciate your help but the negative comments are not needed

Well, two weeks before is still leaving it a bit late when you had 3 years (assuming you bought this car from new) to arrange this, isn't it?
You could call around the various dealers or pop into them to negotiate your own deal with extended warranty. That is what I did with Jamil and I then put his contact on here for other forum members to benefit from.
You could always make a similar arrangement with the finance manager or sales person at your local VW dealership, telling them you would advertise their services here if they gave anyone from the forum a good price on these warranties. The benefit to them would be a constant stream of requests for these warranties and they would make commissions on volume sales.
Well I've made some phone calls around the Melbourne dealerships and have been able to get $1550 as the best price for the Allianz 3yr warranty extended to 160,000km. Probably could do slightly better..with a price rise of 25% on 1/10/10 so do your math on Jamil's and Jaz's original prices and work from there.
they are both undewritten by alianz. can you tell us who gave you the deal for $1500.
I am happy to pay that. But no one in melbourne came anywhere near that price. Could you also give name of person you spoke too
anyone had any luck getting in contact with jamil. I have tried afew times with no luck. He doed not return calls.
I just spoke to Jamil on the phone, he says that he is back and can help with warranties again.
VW Extended warranty (no cap on repairs) on a GTI is about $1320.
He can also do VW Used Extended Warranties (with $2K cap on repairs) but the used car has to have had regular servicing (dealer or thru a licenced mechanic).
i just spoke to jamil, he told me he does not do vw warranty anymore, he has given me the name of a guy at southern cars, Rashid. we will see what he says.

!??!!!
He didn't tell me this when I spoke to him this morning...this is getting confusing!
tell me about it. He called me this morning and told me Rashid will call me tommorrow morning. Yes Southern classic cars. So , don't know whats going on
This is what Jamil emailed me just a few mins ago:
I am away till mid next week. Until then My cousin Rashid will issue the extended warranties. I have instructed him to give Same discounts as I was giving. I have ccd him in this email. All enquiries are being forwarded to him so that no one has to wait till I get back. From next week I will be back
Jamil has also clarified that Rashid works for Chatswood Classic Cars (which is part of the Inchscape group) and not Southern Classic Cars! Once Jamil is officially back, you can continue to contact him wrt to the warranties.
Chickenhawk, you'll have to listen more carefully the next time you speak to him.
