They extend about 15cm and end up covering the spot at the back of the front window perfectly
    I know the Jetta's don't (2.0TFSI)
Yeah no! Would've been great if they did though..

I hate how you're forever manually controlling the fan speed on the a/c when you press it or the front defogger etc

I wish there was a lever you could pull if you wanted to recline the fully all the way down quickly instead of turning it with the wheel which can be a bitch at times, especially if your hand is injured and you gotta do it with your left hand

other than that, i love my car
Sounds like you LOVE your car too much!

              Petrol cap holder definitely.
Cup holders are useless, door ones are too large for coke cans...good for 1.25L though.

Main gripe... the use of very very compliant bushings in the suspension everywhere. It makes the car feel so doughy stock. Now that I have some proper poly bushings in the suspension car feels MUCH tighter.

I can't believe how much slop has been eliminated. Some bushing I could move myself side to side just by sticking a screwdriver in and making a pot stirring motion. Just waggles. EG Front A arm bushes.

my only complaints were fixed in MK6

                      1. Larger reversing lights
                      2. Better rain drainage from roof/windscreen

Not enough to make me trade-in, though.

My petrol cap holder works well, clipped to flap. Drink holder OK too. I have an insert for smaller cans.

                              Agreed 100%.

I've had dozens of cars, some good, some not so good. There is no such thing as a perfect car but for my money, the Jetta is the best I've ever owned.

don't think I would have bought any other car, except a GTI, than my R32. For the money you get space, comfort, luxury, and performance.

not many cars out there can give you that overall package for the money, i think.
