Have you looked at the Skoda Octavia Wagon ? Similar room in the boot, slightly smaller externally, quite a bit lighter, not as big a range of engines and transmissions (and no "performance" AWD), but significantly cheaper. All us Oz owners seem to be very enthusiastic about our Octys
2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).

I plan on rolling over my R32 for another two years. If the Mk 6 is still so revered then (and has an equivalent to the R32), I'll look at it again.
Mk 7 might be due about then. Maybe I should wait another couple of months.MY08 R32, DSG, Sunroof, RNS510

MK7 in 2014?
VW seems to have a five year model life, so more likely 2014 than 2011...Originally posted by jb747 View PostI plan on rolling over my R32 for another two years. If the Mk 6 is still so revered then (and has an equivalent to the R32), I'll look at it again.
