We'll definitely test drive one as soon as they're available, but I think I'm heading down the passat wagon route.
Have you looked at the Skoda Octavia Wagon ? Similar room in the boot, slightly smaller externally, quite a bit lighter, not as big a range of engines and transmissions (and no "performance" AWD), but significantly cheaper. All us Oz owners seem to be very enthusiastic about our Octys
2017 MY18 Golf R 7.5 Wolfsburg wagon (boring white) delivered 21 Sep 2017, 2008 Octavia vRS wagon 2.0 TFSI 6M (bright yellow), 2006 T5 Transporter van 2.5 TDI 6M (gone but not forgotten).
I plan on rolling over my R32 for another two years. If the Mk 6 is still so revered then (and has an equivalent to the R32), I'll look at it again.
Mk 7 might be due about then. Maybe I should wait another couple of months.
VW seems to have a five year model life, so more likely 2014 than 2011...

I'm with Maris on this one, but I don't even think I'd be interested in hearing what they have to say or offer, I love my GT TDI and have no plans of trading it any time soon
I DO like the wheels, and I know they look similar to the MK5 GTI, but more a flat face design, and the black painted slots. Though looks even worse than the MK5 Curb Scratch ability.
If the GTI-R Comes, I'm getting that.
