  • MK 5 TDI EGR delete

    Removed the EGR valve pipe
    Disconnected vacuum line to valve

Anyone in Brisbane remove the valve electronically ? Otherwise emissions light and limp mode will happen [emoji6]

Can it be done with VCDS?

Can't be done with VCDS. The ECU software would need to be modified.

Talk to Tarmac Engineering in Cleveland. They should be able to write a new file onto the cars ECU to delete the EGR so you dont get any check engine lights.

Bonus is that you will get a boost in power and torque (and better economy) as you may as well get a stage 1 remap done at the same time as the cost will be much the same.

Otherwise a more budget option would be a tune from Superchips Bluefin. They have a EGR delete option in their tune packages for an additional fee.
