Mkv r32 rocket cover leak

Hi guys,

So according to my mechanic, my rocket cover is leaking and apparently the whole rocket cover needs to be replaced and he said the pcv cannot purchase separately. My pcv is cracked/worn.

The total cost for a new rocket cover, labour and new spark plugs cost me $2800.

Can i get some of your opinions on this? Is this a reasonable price? It's a bit dear..

I’m about to do this job. VW only sell the rocker cover, not the PCV diaphragm.

what you need is this
RKX VW & Audi 3.6 & 3.2 Engine Valve Cover PCV Valve Diaphragm – RKXtech

I’m also doing valve cover gasket, spark plug well seals. At trade those seals plus sealant were about $200.

At guess I’d say it’s probably 4-5hrs work.

That labour price is absurd-even from VW the rocker cover is only about $1000 from them and you don't need new spark plugs at the same time.

Absolutely recommend the RKX Tech full kit, I've had it installed on my R32 for a few years now to solve the same issue.
